Resist becoming one with the machine. That's what this is about. The machine, the government, society the system, trying to make you conform. Resist. :) |

So is the 'smaller god' a vampire who turned her over? This song is pretty good, but weird too... "shiny man machine" - what is that all about? |

| Tool – Pushit (Live) Lyrics

This is one of the most energetic songs ever to be composed. The build-up is absolutely amazing. It conveys so much emotion. It's definetly Tool's most powerful piece, and one could argue it's the most powerful piece of music ever. |

A state-wide taco place called Taco Mayo serves these things called "potato locos" and whenever I hear this song I get the stench of potato locos trapped between my nostrils. This song isn't very impressive. I don't like Spanish. |

"To me, 'Breathe' is a couple of different stories. The first part conjures an image of Churchill and Stalin walking and talking, while the second part is about two people trying to get through a relationship." - Kroger |

I don't like pop or Madonna, and this song truly is great. Definetely her best, if not that, only good song. |

I'm a huge NIN fan, I even bought a t-shirt (I mean, come on, a poser-fan would never buy a bands t-shirt!) of theirs. Despite this, I like the Johnny Cash version a lot more. Why are the past two people anti-Johnny? It's a good cover of the song. Just accept that there was one decent country musician. |

Takes some courage... Oh well, if she wants... after all I told her I would do anything for her and I meant it. |

" seeing as how he's BRITISH i'd think soccer...
no artist would write for the american audience, ESPECIALLY artists as PF."
What you fail to overlook is this song is about money. Are soccer teams owned like football teams are in America? That is what will determine which he is referring to. |

Parts of this sound very much like "Breathe", particularly the last stanza. |

The last two lines, very important. Everything under the Sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon... so what does it matter since the Sun is covered? Just my take. |

This song's about lucid dreaming (when you are know you are dreaming, and thus if you don't wake yourself up you can control your dream). |

| Nirvana – Plateau Lyrics

Nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop, and an illustrated book about birds. You see a lot up there but don't be scared, who needs action when you got words?
Seems like it's just about reaching a general plateau, which isn't necessarily a good thing. |

Both the original and remix on the MK soundtrack are great songs. The female vocals sound nice, but are as corny as hell. |

I don't think this song is promoting anarchy, but rather trying to convey that Anarchy is something dangerous. |

Definetly about a melo-dramatic "suicidal" girl. I was expecting the music video to be something related, but it of course portrayed more of a jezebel type unconcerned with her own well-being. Interesting how they contrast. |

Of course song is about nursery rhymes and how they're all really malicious. And yes, the bagpipes at the beginning kick you in the ass. |

| Metallica – For Whom The Bell Tolls Lyrics

This is the quote from the beginning of Hemingways "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and how it got its title. The "mis-spellings" are not typos, but of an older form of English John Donne used.
"No man is an Illand, intire of it selfe; every man is a peece of the Continent, a part of the maine; if Clod bee washed away by the Sea, Europe is the lesse, as well as if a Promontorie were, as well as if a Mannor of they friends or of thine owne were; any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankinde; And therfore never send to know FOR WHO THE BELL TOLLS; It tolls for the thee." |

| Metallica – Hero of the Day Lyrics

This is the kind of Metallica that I like. The song is good lyrically and instrumentally, nice combination of hard and soft. James' vocals, I think, are excellent at the end. My personal interpretation of it was how we treat actual Heroes, they are just someone to look up to for a day. The people who get spotlight are those that do so little for society. |

This is an excellent song, defintely one of AICs best. It's amazing how many great songs they had. As far as interpretation goes, I think it's just talking about taking responsibility for what you've done. But, taking responsibility for it doesn't right your wrong. |

The song is simply a protest against the Vietnam war, and the grotesque treatment the returtning soldiers received. Many people think it's patriotic because of the chorus, but it's not. |
