I think this song is about a guy that got caught cheating on his girlfriend. Maybe she thinks I know somethin.... like shes trying to guilt him into admitting it even though she knows. Don't tell me you might just let it go that myabe we can work past this rough spot but he knows its not and its coming to an end. He's remembering all the stuff that he loves about her and how he not gonna see her anymore and it kills him inside. Just my interpretation and you p[eople might argue that Jack would never cheat but just becauyse he made it up doesnt exactly mean that its happened to him. Who knows maybe it has happend. I also have to give some up to Dave because if it wasn't for him people like John Mayer Jack Johnson Howie Day Ben Harper and Pete Yorn wouldnt be around today. Here's to Dave.... |

It's used as slave. Slave as in I'm a slave to school, parents, my job, record label, etc. If he's your "fucking idol" then you should be so damn ignorant.
