| to me this song represents the sweeping generalizations that christianity makes through the bible and conventional "christian thought". all these stygmatized, marginalized, disenfranchised (call em what you want) people are all "down here together" ie doomed to christianities "hell", even those who simply do not adhere to popular beliefs about "style" (lets not get into that, but "kids with blue socks) are in hell. its all about that. the losers of society, ie the decimated cultures and the ones mentioned above, have been abandoned by "god" for not fitting in and conforming to societies cutthroat ways, and propagandhi is either speaking for themselves or for both themselves and these "misfits" when they say "well find our own way", meaning they dont need pop-religion and stygmatization to guide them through life and the Great Beyond (hehe). thats what i think..pretty simple. perhaps. | |
