i read in an interview that chris wrote this song about his college roomate named nick. nick was a bastard, and he would always critize everything about chris. just pretty much a bully. writting this song was a way of getting back at nick. hehe i would have done it the same way. |

awesome bass intro. im learning that. chris's voice has never sounded better in this song. and these lyrics are so...catching. i swear if i were falling off of a clif id play this song over in my head and i think when id fall it wouldnt hurt as badly. bc well the pain this song reminds me of, cant ever equal up to any other pain. this song is my favorite. they pain, and the beauty of the sourounds chris describes. its an oxy moron but i love it. i can really get alot out of it. i hope every1 else can too. |

this is a kick ass cover! when the original came on inthe cd store i was looking at the cd "another year on the streets" (w/saves the day) and when this song came on by the clash i couldnt help myself! me and one of the employess were rockin out! ha! but neways.............
fuck mtv. they just want to make profits off of the old bands and they make it sound like they are new to of course make a profit. that pisses me off. mtv isnt in it for the music anymore. (music television..such false advertisement) like thier "spankin new bands week" included gc and other bands that werent new. that pissed me off. MTV GET OFF THE AIR! for gods sake please! ur ruining the music industry! they play gc and nfg and then theres a bunch of conformists i see around singing their songs thinkin they kno whats goin on. i wanna shake em and be like MTV IS HYPNOTYZING U! i wish sefler still was together. its awesome to listen to sefler, then go to the recernt saves the day. you can really tell they grew in their music. (lyrical and insramental) but theres still this great rawr tensity of teenage feeling in sefler. thats why u gotta love self as well as saves the day. *this is my favorite sefler song* |

i think this song is about a brutal relationship sum1 had. "the monkey will bite then he'll eat your poridge too" is like a childhood fear i think. prett ymuch relating to goldylocks or something. Chris jsut uses unquie phrases that make u think. in the end ur left with alot of feeling. "gross the cake in ur toes" is describing how disgusted this girl was by "him" shes gone crazy bc she wants to love him but the other half says no hes a jackass. i could explain more lines but i think u guys got the idea. |
