Isaak is great Ugly Cassanova is awesome and Red Red Meat is wonderful....by the way, yes Coheed and Cambria are awesome, they are going to be at the Millwaukee Warped 2003. This is a good song, got me into MM in the first place, my favorite is I came as a rat. |

| AFI – The Days Of The Phoenix Lyrics

I do not know if I am way off base but I am sensing some crazy parallelisms between AFI and the terrible tragedy of 'The Phoenix' in the late 1800's. It was a ship that was going to transport Holland immigrants due to religious banishment. The immigrants had many hopes and dreams of their new world since they were shunned by their homeland. When on board they were all happy and dancing, but the ship started a fire inside of the boat due to carelessness; so all their dreams burned up and hundreds died by drowing or fire. Maybe Afi is a parallelism to the fire inside and the art of drowning, and black sails in the sunset. I am not saying that they are basing everything off of it but I think maybe this story is lightly laced in some of their titles and meanings. Someone give me some feedback..please. |
