the first time i listened to this wonderful, beautiful, yet depressing song i interrpreted it as death by bondage here's why: the first is about the funeral, the second is bc in bondage you can auction your submissive's or something like that if you want and "sold her" could be that or that she brought her into the world of bondage, the third is the friend becomes obsessive over the 'pain for pleasure' part of bondage ya know, the strawberry gashes could be from the whipping, the fourth is the checking up on the friend to make sure she wasnt' in too much pain from the bondage, the fifth is the person is cursing themselves for telling the friend of the bondage world and the "devil" is the friend's master/dominant, the sixth is maybe the friend was talking about her virginity or something i'm not quite sure, the seventh is the person is cursing themselves again wishing that they would've kept the friend closer to them, not let them get carried away, the eighth and final is that the master got carried away and ended up beating her or what not, to death basically, and (going back to the beginning) they cremated the body ("save all her ASHES for me") so that no one would know her dirty little secret, i think it makes sense but after hearing everyone else's opinion i felt i should put my first impression on here, this band is great, thank you world for giving us them...bye - <{{>< |
