Dave Matthews Band – Big Eyed Fish Lyrics 23 years ago
dude the lillywhite sessions is depressing in general. Thinking in that general direction gets you depressed. Trust me i know. I (also) think the song is about mankind. We strive to be different (not breathing) and we kill ourselves. We have huge amounts of motivation to leave the jungle and we end up just being homeless and drunk on the street. We want to be something else and it kills us. sn't that what he really means?

Vanessa Carlton – Paradise Lyrics 23 years ago
it's about being trapped. she hates her ilfe, she hates where she is and everything around her and she's wishing that she could just let go. Its about not letting go just because.

Coldplay – Clocks Lyrics 23 years ago
what clocks means to me is that he's saying its about coming forth and doing something with your life. Like it's some point of rebirth. Have you ever noticed that when you're actually listening to this song that you are thinking about life, and how you went wrong. Confusion that never stops, ne? That has to be one of my favorite lines of all time.

Dave Matthews Band – Warehouse Lyrics 23 years ago
This is my favorite song! The first time I heard it live, and then on the CD and i was actually dissapointed at the CD version. The song seems to me to fade in and out of reality, out of depression as most of his songs do. Warehouse strikes you first as a very hardcore song, but the way that it just gets whimsical, 'and you can walk under ladders and swim as the tide chooses to turn you' just shows how we choose our own path. Its like leaving yourself and coming anew... leaving your blood, your past and starting over as yourself. So you don't 'fade away'. I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!

Dave Matthews Band – Bartender Lyrics 23 years ago
i actually joined this site to comment on this song.
This is without a doubt one of my top three dave matthews band songs, and one of my top five overall. The way he pleads to be forgiven, for life, for death, for love its like it moves you beyond words or anything. I'm saying that bartender is god also, and he kinda is pushing the lines by saying it. Its soo cool, its like there are many metaphors to God, but a bartender? Life as some drink. Its awesome. Definatly one of my favorite songs (and the flute at the end is just friggan amazing)
