| Damien Rice – Delicate Lyrics | 20 years ago |

This song was featured at the end of my favorite TV show, House. The episode had absolutely nothing to do with religion. |

This song doesn't even come close to being an Everclear song. Dur. Stupid fuckers. |

| Rob Thomas – Lonely No More Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is some bullshit, man. It's so poppy and yuck and... the video, God, the video. He really sold out this time. Yeah. I'm boycotting the solo career. This song speaks for itself... | |
| Unwritten Law – Save Me (Wake Up Call) Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Wow, amen to ponkahonk. Minus the cookie monster reference. Just because you you people have had an oh-so-horrible life doesn't mean you can hog the song all to yourself. If you feel you know exactly what it means, and it's just telling your whole life story, kudos to you. Someone else may subscribe to a less harsh interpretation of the song, and they feel it relates to them. Music shouldn't have some set meaning... some of the best stuff is nonsense. People who try to say they're so hardcore as to hog a song all to themselves suck. Big. Now, shut up and just enjoy the song, and allow other people to enjoy the song. And as for this site not being to talk about whether a song is good or not.... this site is for music discussion. I think that includes videos, meaning, background.. AND whether you like it or not. So just shut up, all of you whiners. Good song. I think the meaning is obvious... people try to change other people too much. I don't think there's any religious symbol behind it. I'm not familiar with Unwritten Law's stuff, though. |

| Orgy – Eyes-Radio-Lies Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| It does seem like it's saying something about Nascar, or maybe just racers in general. I guess that can be connected to superficial people by saying that racecar drivers feel like they have to compensate or cover for something by being number one? | |
| Tabitha's Secret – Dizzy Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I absolutely love this song. It's one of the many Tabitha's Secret songs that makes me cry on occasion, and a rainy day always makes me think of it. This song speaks volumes about loneliness and depression, the feeling that you just can't participate or you'll fuck up, the feeling that you don't give a damn about those outside people, and they don't give a damn about you. Too, am I crazy or could the rain be a metaphor? Everyone else is dodging the the rain and staying dry, although he doesn't mention getting in it himself... A lovely song, perfect for a bad day. One of the few that actually sounded good after being redone on the second album. |

| Edwin McCain – Take Me Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I think this song is about how he took down all his defenses for this person, and then when she leaves him, he's just like "hey... I did all this for you, this won't be for nothing. I'm coming with you." He let down all his defenses to love her, and when she leaves he's not just going to sit there and take it. A touch of stalkerish? I like how the music is fairly upbeat, even though he's talking about heartache and someone leaving him. A great song, I love the lover-soldier comparison. |

| Eagles – New York Minute Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Yeah, "New York minute" refers to the fact that supposively, everything moves faster in New York. But I don't know about that, if you've ever spent an actual minute or two stuck in traffic in a really smelly cab. Awesome song, awesome band... the song is obviously about how quickly your whole life can change, and how easy it is to lose those you love. It speaks particularly about suicide. |

| Everclear – I Want To Die A Beautiful Death Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| No one has commented on this song?! I think this song is great! It's sort of an unspoken thing thats finally been said... who doesn't want to die pretty? Sure, it's a little morbid, but it's going to happen anyway... he doesn't want to die desperate, curled up in the corner of his room, he doesn't want to die a horrid death, mauled by some animal. However, I haven't exactly figured out how one "dies pretty." It's sort of an oxymoron, but I'm sure there's some heroic death out there that might fit the word "beautiful." It's something to think about, anyway. | |
| Everclear – Overwhelming Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I love this song. It's not so much an "up yours" song as it is a "hey, what comes around goes around. You're gonna get it one day" song. The way it's sung gives it more of a feel like he's not even leaving... "I wonder why you stick around Sometimes I wish you would leave" or he doesn't WANT to leave, and he still loves this person. The whole thing obviously is referring to someone who's been abusing him in some way, so I think its great when he says: "You got those crazy blue eyes Yeah, you got those crazy blues" Most people think that "those crazy blues" refers to the eyes again, but I think that it's referring to manic depression. This is such a beautiful song, and so easy to relate to. |
