"We promised the world, we'd tame it..." - isnt that what politicans always do? not just Bush and Blair.. In the last verse they mention some of the problems we are facing nowadays.. eg.hurricanes & racism. kick-arse-song anyways |

I think the song is a metaphor for being insane.. "Dream the same thing every night, I see our freedom in my sight" I dont see it as being locked up and trying to get out, more as being on the recovery. So.. maybe the sanitarium itself plays a part, but what really is his "cage" is his own mind. |

Hi there. about this pop/punk/skate/poser/fake-argument i think its sad so many things in life has to get sorted out into diffrent boxes. like, i did a thing for school about music a diffrent genres a had a rough time figuring out whether Beatles were Pop or Rock. I just said "Hey, what the hell, its all music.." For all of you who says you dont like Pop i bet its because it something everyone "can" listen to, while its often Pop played on Tv and so on.( and because of that eceryone can have an opinion on the music) Alot of you wants to have "something of your own" and if you tell someone what you listen to they say "Huh?". Maybe its not this AT ALL for some of you, but I know it was so for me, until i heard Linkin Park and later on found out they were being played on Mtv. So.. should i NOT like avril because shes on TV? Maybe not, but i acctually think that the only good thing shes has done is "Im with you". finally about Complicated: The lyrics suck(all this uh-hu makes this song sound alot like some sucky Britneycover) allthough the meaning of the hole song is quite true. (whitch IMHO is about ppl being phoney and "acting" when they are around ppl who they has something to prove for.) OK, we all have that problem that "everyone around me is schitzofrenic", but are we so good ourselfs? Ok, enough of my amateurpsychologi-theorys :) ..Later.. |

VioletVirgo15 if my band would ever get on screen on MTV i would just die(and not for happi reasons..) so why improve the chanses of destroying LP? I hate ppl who says "oh dear, In the end is the best song i have ever heard" because they´ve seen the video on MTV and after two days they have forgotten about the song and listens to Christina Aguilera instead. creds to the REAl fans. of all bands. hate "one-night-stands" u see?:) this is what "Forgotten" is all about :D |
