For a class, i once had to make an "identity web" with all the things that make me who i am, then one by one take things away until i had one thing left. My last item was the line from this song "show love with no remorse." It smeans so much more than just those words--it means do whatever you do with all of yourself, not just a part. It also reminds me of how easily you can lose what you love, so enjoy it and love it and live it while you can. Life is short, and often bitter, so use whatever you do as a way of putting a little love back into the world. Don't apologize for who you are. Show love with no remorse. |

my favorite part of this song is the music itself. the guitar riffs are beautiful, and remind me of listening to my boyfriend just sitting and playing as though no one else was in the room at all. |

While this song is catchy and an easy listen, i have a lot of bad things attached to it for personal reasons. It was the last song i listened to before i once tried to kill myself. The lines about "24 hours on an empty brain...i got my finger on the trigger and you're in my way" could relate to frustrated love, or to drugs, but all i see is the helplessness and the despair. You get to a point where you feel so reckless and desperate that you just want it to stop, no matter what good things there might be in your life. That's what this song will always be about to me. |
