Not sure but I think that the chorus might end with: "Your whole life has been nothing but this I won't let you go UNLESS I'll be alright I'll be alright" It makes more sense and parallels better with the opening lines of the chorus. Also the final verse sounds more like: "Why do I keep housing on the SEPARATE Heads go on now where's my thought to stumbling This party is over now it isn't happening The wind in the SAILS COULD TELL I'M ONLY RECOVERING" That's just my two cents... |

Beautiful song. I think I pretty much agree with prior statements, it appears to be an apocolyptic view of global warming. Funny, I just heard a couple of days ago an NPR critic talking specifically about this song. He agreed with us as well. |

| The opening lines, "I've this creeping suspicion that things are not as they seem." .. ummm wow what a perfect opening line to this song, it very well sets the kinda eerie mood that the whole song supports. I'd rather not break down the song line by line, but rather, I believe he is questioning the faith of a loved one. He is paranoid and suspicious, hence the first line. | Obviously, a extremely well written, and well composed song. It's no doubt, as many of you have said, Dave was fond of the way in which Jesus expressed himself, Dave is a very spiritual guy, but he is not very religious. At a recent show I attended he said before playing this song, "This is a great story, but I believe it is ONLY A STORY." that's a direct quote. But it's no doubt that he is quite a spiritual man, just he isn't very religous, he says he is jut facinated with the story of Jesus, and the things he stood for, but he doesn't full-heartedly buy into it. | |

I have the Ruterbega (sp) that this song cam from, and you can feel the nervousness that dave feels as he sings. He is much more timid and not as confident with his singing at this point. | Alright you guys, first of all, don't talk trash about Everday, that really was a good CD, songs like Angel and Mother Father definatley drown out the vide that I Did It did, though that wasn't a horrible song either. Anyway, Broken Heart was never the name for this song as far as I know. Everyone acts like "Busted Stuff" is a new CD, but it's been around for years and years. | This is a great song. The reason i can't appreciate it as well as I'd like to is because it's just about immpossible to find a version of this song that doesn't completely suck. But it is a good song, and a very hard one to figure out. It seams like to me to say something about the corruption that people bring to all forms of nature, government, and even the act of living.
