I think this song is in the first verse about a sudden death that shocked the singer then in the second verse its him realizing that life is precious, and maybe repenting of sins...i get that from the line:

or does it prove that they gave more
as if hes saying will this get me into heaven or does me showing repentance now just show how i should have always bben like this..not after an accident made me realize.
I love Boxcar so much better than blink cause in boxcar tom is confined to writing about being a teenager and such...he can explore more serious matters like this song does |

OK saying this song is about the WTC jumpers is like saying "Aliens Exist" is about roswell...sure it can be assumed but has no real evidence...there is no reason why it is about the WTC jumpers and actuall makes more sense when you think of it as a song about suicide in general...its a great song nonetheless but if tom wanted to write a song about 9-11 i think he could have done a lot better. |

OK squall, i get what you mean and i have listened to this song a lot of times waiting for something to click but it hasnt i just dont like it....maybe i was too harsh in my bashing but i UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES watch MTV. My definition of punk has always been music thats not whats mainstreem, what has a good feel to it, and what is catchy and fun...o and not to mention that o so great garage band feel...i dunno....i think we all have a definition of punk and that none of us are wrong...thats what it is to be a punk

Speaking as an artist and for artists everywhere getting known is why we start to play music. Sure its for the music and the hardcore fans but hardcore fans arent going to pay the bills. If someone asked me if i would rather play small venues and make dirt or play huge shows and make money then the choice is obvious. People dont get into the biz to be startving artists. Ithink i can sum it up in what my bands drummer once said
