First of all this is a great song propably the best boxcar song. 2nd this cd is better than any blink cd. so lets get down to the lyrics...I have heard that it is about suicide but when I first hear it i thought it was about 911. But i think watch the world is about 911 too. This song is probably about suicide bc the music sounds like it and watch the world is more sad..also wahts up "with let's forget this all, move on" bein repeated. are they sayin lets fro get the wtc probably not its more like lets forget this person who killed himself. either way no one else has brouth that up and it is a goo part. 311 is down for the unity! |

This is the best song about wanting to get out youre home town. The whole "plan" is planing to get leave. "I watch the tail-lights and memorize" this is just one referance to driving, and this is also the one of the best driving songs. It has a feeling of urgancy like you have to get out of town right away. Then at the end...."I need a map, I need a map I need a map to get us out of this town " I know this feeling. overall a great song. Nada surf is extremely lyrically talented and this is not realized in by the TRL generation. Cant nobody do it like 311 fuckin up competition because there really is none. |

This song is very complex and first its about childhood as life does so it works out. The airports symbalize wanting to get away. "And I spent Christmas in a detox ward, I wish I had an Airport...Someday...Cause somedays are just so hard" this talks of how he was in a detoz ward wich im guessin for alchol or drugs I dont know if this is autobigrphical or not. of cource sayin some days are just to hard is so true and sad sounding then with all this sadness and agnst the courus comes in..... And shouted out into the night "we're never gonna die" its like waht you say after a great crazy night during ur teenage years and wile you feel imortal. Then when thats over youre back to feelin down. Then it goes into the relationship thing....And I've taken 18 showers just to pass the time And that fucking phone just rang, but it wasn't you on the line. I know the feeling of taking showers just to pass the time before you are suposed to see a girl then it goes on to say....And it was New Year's Eve, but I was thinking of the summer...its new years the most fun night of the year but hes just thinking of how fun summer is which everyone agress with. then there is the whole war thing but its not posted on the site but I think what he says is true but he like others rebels against the idea of war. and then he says "i wish I had airports someday" as in he wants to get away one day. then the pause.....and the dramtic finish to one of the most powerful songs ever great lyrics.
