Filth-- first of all, in one comment you said you liked this song, and in the next you said it was worse than Dashboard? That doesn't make sense. Second of all, those girls aren't "ho's"... they also didn't say that many people don't relate to this song. I don't mean to interject or ruin the fight you're picking, but I guess I feel pretty stongly that in addition to the fact that you don't make sense, you also don't have to be so mean. |

"Life is hard and so am I" isn't meant to be sexual. hard as in nothing effects him. and "sputtering out" means running out of gas, kinda. I don't think it's about anything sexual at all.

The beauty of this song is that it was origionally intended to be about the aparthied in South Africa, but it can also apply to everything. Especially in these times when our differences are so small yet pointed out so severely. The other message that this song, along with many other of DMB's songs, conveys is that now is the time to make everything right and do everything you can because the future one might plan to do something in may not exist. We coild go at any minute, and our lives will be a waste of discrimination and separation based on all the wrong things. |
