whoever pointed out that the song sounds similar to alkaline trio "you've got so far to go," wow. really, just wow. that's some ear for the bass. other than that, it really doesn't sound too much alike. alk3 is really original and are amazing with their music. this song is really good too. at first i thought tim's voice made it seem really weird, but the more i listened to it, it really did start to sound good. unique. i think tom's voice still would've sounded awesome, but tim gives it such a different feel, pretty cool. and again good ears to those who could actually hear jordan in the back. it took a while for me. everyone must think i'm so retarded.. oh well. |

all i know is that adam, the lead singer of TAKING BACK SUNDAY, loves this band. he told my friend about them.. and the *next time that star shoots across the sky i'm gonna grab it and smash it under my feet* my friend said was the inspiration for one of adam's tattoos.. which is on one of his arms. and "irony for suckers", the title of one of their songs is in their lyrics for "there's no 'i' in team.".. adam recommended lifetime as a great band to listen to and one of his influences.. kudos to adam and the rest of taking back sunday! |

relax.. this is how the lyrics are in the booklet.. and alot of people post the lyrics word for word.. breathe.. so this song is my anthem. it describes everything about my problems at home and in school.. the whole "hazy eyes" being a drug user can be a good interpretation, but me and my friend kim think it's about shallow ((POPULAR))people who don't see anything for what it really is.. and how all they care about is themselves.. but yeh the other meaning for it to me is about how i hate my brother. yes. i do. oh well.. that's what happens when he treats me like nothing and makes fun of this band and all my other favorite bands..
