I don't like how she's recites it either, nor do I really like anyone citing "slam" poetry of any kind as most people use the same kind of voice intonations. However, when she gets to the end and says "before you overdose on the cool" I do think that part is actually pretty good and effective, and I guess that's the point. |

The music video definitely has that "Ghost of Christmas Past" approach. The guy has a girlfriend and this ghost shows him what she's doing behind his back. I like how you can tell they're at RubberGloves in Denton for the restaurant scene. I think the "dirty hands" reference is more about him wiping the blood off his hands, or may be he has OCD and cleans his hands all the time. |

When John writes about cutting his tent another five inch slit, he is making reference to a dream he had where he snuck out of a camping tent and escaped in a forest fire. i don't think he warned his camping buddies. muhahahahah!!!! well at least something like that. |

Look at the CD's lyrics for this song. All titles have been written out in the lyric font and behind that title, a different font, but the same title written out. if you look at the same song title in the lyrics book for this song it says "Don't You Wish You Had Some One" instead of "Some more."
Interesting isn't it? |

this song is wonderful musically. at first, the piano and cello part is very harmonious, but after each chorus, an extra note/chord of piano dissonance is added, and each time stronger than before. of course, this dissonance is used to create tension in the song and each time the chorus is reached, the song has release. finally at the end, a cacophony of sound plays in the background over his voice, but it's so well placed, it's like organized chaos. my fav. band. |

this song is great and pretty much the only one on the 7" i can follow closely as far as lyrics are concerned. here's a better breakdown of the lyrics:
your face looks like the fairy tale explosion
black and blonde and red and black and blonde and red and black
black and blonde and red and black and blonde and red and black and blonde
all at the same (fuckin?) time
did you hear him mutter under his breath?
did you hear him? "fuck yeah it's over"
did you hear him mutter under his breath?
did you hear him? "fuck yeah it's over" |
