This song reminds me of someone picking up their life and moving on, but still keeping intact with their loved one. I think maybe, it might be about the band having to go to bigger and better things. It's about phonecalls that end with "goodnight" when it used to be in person and how someone feels it isn't right just to hang up the phone and say "goodnight". I can't put into words what I mean, but I know what I mean in my head. Ahh...always the case. The whole screaming adds that much more emotion. It makes it THAT much better and that much MORE in depth. The Juliana Theory is known for their screaming, and personally, they do it good! |

I like the combination of the two voices and the instruments. It's a real good song, and I agree with those of you who think it's about drugs. The whole hazy eyes makes me think drugged. You know when you see someone on anaesthetics and they're drugged to the point that their eyes are hazy and the can barely keep their eyes open? I'm thinking it may be about cancer or some type of diease where the person has to be drugged to the point where they no longer feel pain. "So sick of being tired, and oh so tired of being sick" that line leads me to think this as well. |

this song is complete awe. it's beautifully written and it's so lyrically expressble. to everyone, this song could be about anything. to me, it's about regret. sometimes, i think it's about mourning the death of a loved one. i have not yet found the meaning, but i think i'm getting close. this song leaves me speechless. "so i speak to you in riddles/'cause my words get in my way". that line describes me. my first love told me i always spoke to him in riddles. he could never understand what i really wanted to say. i responded exactly, "my words get in my way". i was shocked to fall in love with this song, and have it remind me so much of him, and to have said something that is now a piece of history. aww...like i said, amaaazing. |
