I think song is about being hurt by someone and "keeping distance" from that person. The person in this song has a family member which he cares about, his brother or maybe a cousin who cares about, who did an evil deed. He cannot believe that this person, his own "flesh and blood" did this evil deed, so he rejects him/.her with his "ill heart". The person who did the evil deed hurt his heart and left it "disjointed".The singer in this song wants to let out the family member's deed out in the open, aiming for punishment, but he doesnt know where to start or if even he should do it. Meanwhile, the singer decides to keep his distance from the sinner's lies.He also feels that he is alone, because he his the only one that knows about that "secret" deed.He views "anger" as a gift because God has gaved him reasoning and morals. Having anger shows that he knows what is right and wrong.

This song is basically about "waking up" and finding oneself. The person in this song feels as he is not himself and as if he has lost his spirit (when angels deserve to die). This person does not want to commit suicide physically as the song suggests, but he rather feels hopeless as if he has lost of self. He wants to be himself, but lately he hasnt acted like it. He "cries" in his crisis. When he screams "father!" he is questioning God why this is happening to him, while wishing he would change. Lastly, the self-righteous suicide is the death of his own spirit, when is considered righteous to those who dont like him.

This is possibly the best song by Linkin Park, which is by the way the best band ever! This song I believe is about an abusive partner. The girl in the video is constantly abused and mistreated by her lover. She feels that she is stuck there with him, in this situation.The girl's wounds were given by the lover and they wont help. She is dissapointed to find out that the guy she loved once, has turned into a monster. "The walls are closing in", for she does not know what to do.She also feels so "insecure" and so "unreal" about the situation. The "Crawling" part represents the pressure and abuse of her boyfriend affecting her. She cries for help, since she feels helpless.

I agree with you Tydogg42, that is a great explanation! I believe that DC Talk is such an awesome band. I actually went to see them at Boonaduches, an experience that i will never ever forget! And to "Merak", whoever you are, if you do not know the light and the truth, then your words are just pointless.By the way, i am an a trained officer in a christian club in college, so i know what i am talking about. God is #1 and without him, without faith, we are nothing.

This song is about a guy who gets drunk and then goes to his g/f's house. There he does not act like himself because he is wasted, so he disrespects his g/f. The g/f gets angry and tosses him out the window because of his actions and hurtful words. The guy then feels so ashamed of himself that he does not recognize himself, for he did not act like himself last night. The guy views himself as his own worst enemy because he hates what himself for what he has done.

This is such a powerful song. The person in this song knows that life is a struggle, which torments him. But he knows it is not the end because God is with him. The song is basically about struggling in life and having faith in God which will save us. The song states that God is wonderful and amazing; I agree 100%. It also lists God's miracles such as walking on the waves, raised from the dead, the creation of the universe. The person in this song believes in God to his grave, no matter what anyone saids.

This is the best song that DC Talk has made. Basically, the person in this song is trying to have a personal relationship with God. He says that he such a sinner, which draws him away from God. He mentions that he struggles with life because he attempts to live life by himself, without God.This person wants to change, so he asks for God's acceptance, to be "in his light". The person wants to ber saved and to follow God's will. He finally realizes that he is nothing without God, so he will now attempt to be in the light. God rules!!!
