This is my one of my favorite Weezer songs that they play on the radio.
The whole point of the song is Rivers' father started drinking right before he left her and his family. Rivers' mom got remarried and this guy started drinking, too, hence "like father, stepfather, the son is drowning in the flood". He knows he is going to be abandoned again. :( |

About the albums: Blue will always be my fav. b/c it was the first, but Green isn't as bad as you guys are making it. The bad thing about the Green album is that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen used "Island in the Sun" in their dumbass movie, making Weezer seem more like teenie bopper pop!
