If you haven't tried to do the dark side of the moon/ wizard thing, definitely try. It's not about being a burned out loser and seeing dumb things... It's pretty eerie if you listen to the words of the song. |

The video's director/editors went back and made a lot of changes to the video in response to some people getting upset about the suicide aspect. In the final product, one would have to seriously read between the lines to see it as a suicide. On the surface, Britney's "death" in the video looks like a freak accident.
Britney's people didn't have to go back and change anything at all. The first video was their artistic vision... They gave up a big part of the meaning of the initial video by agreeing to change it. They should be commended for keeping Britney's audience (which includes adolescents as well as people who wish to emulate Britney) in mind in editing the final version. |

Anne is Dave's sister. Right before "Under the Table and Dreaming" came out, her husband killed her and then himself. This, on top of losing a parent at the age of 10 would easily make someone angry at God, either openly or subconsciously (as in this song). I see this song as honest and painful, not "freaky." |
