this song rocks my socks right off. it's so awesome just to turn up the volume and sing/shout along with. they are so awesome live... :D everyone in the pit just went crazy when they sang this song. anyway, hey! is the tune a traditional irish song? it must be because a few days back I was watching titanic (hey, it's good, shut up :P) when the third class is havin their little shindig party thing they start playing that! I about died! |

Of course it's about a guy never wanting to be hurt again, causing him to build a wall around himself. But... I think he's trying to lie to himself, convinging himself that that's the way to go. Listen to the music, it's so bright and cheery, completely different than the lyrics, until the end, when it kinda fades away...
At least, that's what my English class came up with. ;D |

isn't this song sung by the bass player? when I saw them live (which was too cool for word might I add) I'm pretty sure it was him singing, but later the lead singer took over instead of havin' nathan--the bass player-- finishing it. wild... |
