Quite a thoughtful song. Doesn't give too much away about what it means. However, I believe the narrator is good friends with Emily and Jimmy, who are married. She doesnt like the married life, and remembers the fun she had when she was young. She has an affair with the narrator, who we eventually find out has a wife and a child (who have since left him). Great work Maxi - I don't think I could find a better example of poetry in music. |
