| 50 Cent – In Da Club Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I do agree with blind rockstar....I don't agree with any musician rapping, singing...etc., that uses lyrics that not only disrespect any human to make millions, and in turn, flaunt what they have "accomplished"....however, if any one of you has picked up the Wall Street Journal lately, you would see that rappers are not the only ones who promote this negative behavior. We have executives in corporate America who are being compensated millions, (example: Mark Swartz, Tyco International, $77,976,386; L. Dennis Kozlowski, Tyco International, $76,633,252; John B. Blystone, SPX Corp., $55,896,468; and the list goes on and on). The big corporate executives live "bling bling" everyday, while our unemployment rate rose from 5.8 last year, from 4.7 in 2001. We don't "dis" them. In fact, we say they have accomplished the American dream. Not these exec. persay, but corporate America has been involved in scandal after scandal, while the rest of America watches their bank accounts increase. 50 Cent came from the "ghetto" that these corporations created. I say 50 has accomplished the American dream, but at least he is not ashamed to talk about what he has done wrong to make a living. I do not agree with his lifestyle being glorifed. But I do not think that 50, or any other rapper, or rockstar is to blame. The media has a huge hand in doing that for them. Now on a lighter note, what do all of us go to the club for? He is rapping about drinking, drugs, and sex. What do the majority of us youngsters do while at parties, clubs, bars, etc.? So in the words of B-rad, "Quit hatin"!!!!" | |
| Enigma – Silent Warrior Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I think this song is pretty self-evident....to all those who sin in the name of God will have to answer to him...I believe it is talking about the Indians who lost their "God-s"(notice the plural when Enigma talks about the Indians loss)...the Indians worshiped nature, the earth, the water, the air, trees, animals, flowers, etc...were all Gods and they lost them in the name of Christianity...the whites used their religion as an excuse to destroy, not only an innocent people, but the land as well ("with the cross as alibi"...I like this song. :) | |
| Enya – Storms In Africa Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
I think Enya is talking about the sufferings of the people in Africa...with the poverty, apartheid, starvation, and disease-ridden lands....these people are suffering, and she is giving them words of hope. what a beautiful message of hope and peace.... |

| Enya – Caribbean Blue Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Enya makes my heart sing...her voice is so comforting, magnificent. Makes me believe in a higher power who loved us so much that through all the pain we suffer, we can enjoy such beauty...for a few moments love prevails | |
| The Cranberries – Everything I Said Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
"...Surely must be you But I don't make you lonely I'll get over you But I don't make you lonely..." These have to be the saddest words ever spoken. Reminds me of getting broke up with and thinking he was the one, but he isn't even thinking about me, you know. This song has to be one of my favorites. |
