| Modest Mouse – Gravity Rides Everything Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"Oh, got to see, got to know right now What's that riding on your everything? It isn't anything at all" Gravity rides everything - but it's something we subconsciously accept. So although it has an impact on everything we do - we perceive it as nothing. Oh, got to see, got to know right now What's that writing on your shelf In the bathrooms and the bad motels? No one really cared for it at all Not the gravity plan Gravity rides everything. It doesn't care for little details like the issues in your life that this song metaphorically construes to mean "writing in the bathroom walls and bad motels." Early, early in the morning It pulls all on down my sore feet I want to go back to sleep In the motions and the things that you say It all will fall, fall right into place As fruit drops, flesh it sags Everything will fall right into place Pretty obvious. Gravity controls all those things. When we die, some sink and some lay But at least I don't see you float away And all the spilt milk, sex and weight It all will fall, fall right into place An awesome set of lines right here. Although it's sad that gravity allows us to see our dead friends and family in the grave, at least it exists so they won't float away. Everything falls into it's own place. |

| Tay Zonday – Chocolate Rain Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Issues surrounding Chocolate Rain can never be over analysed. There are many factors which influenced the development of Chocolate Rain. Given that its influence pervades our society, it is yet to receive proper recognition for laying the foundations of democracy. It still has the power to shock the aristocracy, who just don't like that sort of thing. In the light of this I will break down the issues in order to give each of them the thought that they fully deserve Social Factors Society is our own everyday reality. When J H Darcy said 'fevour will spread' [1] she created a monster which society has been attempting to tame ever since. While deviating from the norm will always cause unrest amongst ones peers, Chocolate Rain helps to provide some sort of equilibrium in this world of ever changing, always yearning chaos. Primarily Chocolate Rain builds trust among the people. If society has a favourite child, it is Chocolate Rain. Economic Factors There has been a great deal of discussion in the world of economics, centred on the value of Chocolate Rain. We will study the Maiden-Tuesday-Lending model, making allowances for recent changes in interest rates. Oil Prices Chocolate Rain The results displayed in the graph are too clear to be ignored. Recent studies indicate that oil prices cannot sustain this instability for long. Perhaps to coin a phrase Chocolate Raineconomics will be the buzz word of the century Political Factors No man is an island, but what of politics? Comparing the ideals of the young with the reality felt by their elders is like contrasting chalk and cheese. We cannot talk of Chocolate Rain and politics without remembering the words of a legend in their own life time, Demetrius B. Adger 'People in glass houses shouldn't through parties.' [2] I argue that his insight into Chocolate Rain provided the inspiration for these great words. Both spectacular failure and unequaled political accomplishment may be accredited to Chocolate Rain. One of the great ironies of this age is Chocolate Rain. Isn't it ironic, don't you think? Conclusion In summary, Chocolate Rain has a special place in the heart of mankind. It replenishes the self, brought up a generation, though Chocolate Rain brings with it obvious difficulties, it is truly Chocolate Rain. I'll leave you with this quote from Elton Hendrix: 'My Daddy loved Chocolate Rain and his Daddy loved Chocolate Rain.' [3] |

| Tay Zonday – Chocolate Rain Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is a scathing attack on generality as indicative by a sentient organism "Chocolate Rain". Moreover, Tay Zonday admits that it is not the chocolate nor the rain, but moreso the FEELING of the chocolate and rain combining in an amalgamation of sensuality. Melts in your mouth, not in your hand INDEED. | |
| Bad Religion – Forbidden Beat Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Imbeciles. This song is about being caught up in routines that "enslave" people through their temptations. | |
| Say Anything – Admit It!!! Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"Say Anything" -- Are they really saying anything? This song proves that liars, thieves, and derelicts are keyed to a profundity of ape-like species known as Emo. Emo is a state of the art contrast between life, love, the pursuit of happiness oranges tadpoles and chandeliers. Eating carrots, one might conclude, is a postulate of trepidation upon a zephyr and tumultuously signals the end to our feces-laden butterknives. Say Anything..are they really saying anything? You be the judge. Judge. |

| Say Anything – A Walk Through Hell Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
To me, this song represents the ubiquity of longing for a continual post-mortuary deride into the abyss known as "Gehenna" which might also represent such subtle sensibilities as "Hell", "Frankenstein" and the more popular, "Inspector Gadget." To me, Say Anything represents the tried and true anecdotes about police brutality and welfare reform. In addition, many legumes of the Brazilian variety seek justice within the social system, but Say Anything defies these legumes. "C'mon lets have dessert", is a common social diatribe among nation's most popular leaders. A poignant example of this culmination of creation derives it's quintessential meaning in it's own epitaph. "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" realizes this notion in a multitude of singularities, but more importantly, pluralities. Moribundity is a sign of the times, and in this song, Say Anything is really "saying anything." |

| Bunch of Believers – Mission Trip To Mexico Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Wow this isn't condescending and retarded. | |
| Propagandhi – Rock For Sustainable Capitalism Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I'll clear this up. I remember reading about an interview or an update on the Propagandhi site awhile back where he was (rightfully) bashing on Lars Frederikson. So, Propagandhi is talking about Lars Frederikson, the "fatass" with a mowhawk. The "sausage party" refers to his video for Lars' Frederikson and the Bastards' To Have And To Have Not, where he goes around shaking hands with his friends, or something. As for the lyrics being wrong - they're not. If you bought the album instead of downloaded it, it says in the booklet that it's "Jack-ass", but for some reason Chris sings it "fat ass". This is not uncommon for Propagandhi who have changed the song lyrics, or added more lyrics in the booklet many a time. The other reference, "When did Punk Rock become so safe?" is obviously a NOFX reference. But rest assured the fatass mowhawk man is Lars. In terms of some sort of contention going on between NOFX and Propagandhi, it's highly exaggerated by fans...It's not really sure that 60% or the Marxist Brothers is about Propagandhi at all. Although, One-Celled Creature is most likely a jab at Propagandhi. |

| NOFX – One Celled Creature Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I'm thinking this is a song about Chris Hannah from Propagandhi. If you got the Potemkin City Limits album, he's in a robe and on a mattress...i think it may be an attack on the cynicism of the band. | |
| The Unseen – Greed Is A Disease Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Kinda stupid though..if we don't pay doctors..who's gunna spend 10 years of his life(and money) in medical school? I mean, c'mon Unseen.. | |
| NOFX – We Ain't Shit Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Right...If you listen to their old records, you can recognize the progression from decent to great. Ever wonder why every NOFX song sounds awesome? That's talent. | |
| The Casualties – Ugly Bastards Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Maybe cause the lyrics to this song are fucking retarded...Are the Casualties from another country? | |

| Uhh..What Italian cops? They were executed in America. | |
| Against All Authority – Ska Sucks Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song was done as a reaction to the neo-nazis (who were into the ska movement) that went to Propagandhi shows. They(Propagandhi) really don't hate ska, but it sure did piss off the skinheads. | |
| Propagandhi – Middle Finger Response Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Hey man, no offense..but..this isn't one of those "listen to it while your pissed off!" song. This a really meaningful song. It's all about how we're tearing down our world and modulating it through imperialistic our (North America's) tendancies. "A sylvan way of life for those who seek none beyond a parkland mall. This landscape oasis now feigns City Hall. And they call this peace." | |
