i'm sure ALL of what i'm about to say has been brought up and i've even posted this on the lyrics for "complicated", but i'm saying it anyway 'cuz i'm bored. lol okay.. first of all, i'm not dissing anyone, avril can dress however she wants to - whatever, i don't care. i don't even fucking listen to english music. if avril is really what she says she is, she wouldn't be trying so hard to prove it. she also doesn't play the guitar or write her own lyrics. she receives help on those things. i'm not saying it's wrong to have people help you write lyrics and come up with "rockin' guitar riffs", but when you claim you did that all yourself when you really didn't - it's called lying - it's stupid and wrong. no one would've counted it against her if she would've admitted having help in the first place. her first manager even said himself in entertainment weekly that when avril first came here/there/wherever she didn't knwo blink-182 from britney spears. she was raised on country music in a christian home (no offense to christians). she's changed her story about the guitar-playing and songwriting several times. in one magazine she said she sits down with her guitar and plays whatever she's feeling that day. in another magazine she said she sits down with a guitar-player usually. but hey whatever, if she wants to make herself look like a dumbass. someone on the "complicated" lyrics page said that she knew a few people from Napanee that sorta knew Avril and they all said she treated people like shit and that she got to sing on-stage with shania twain and later dropped her best friends 'cuz they weren't good enough for her. a friend once told me to wait for her next album to come out 'cuz usually record companies don't let artists do what they want at first. i have to disagree on that part. michelle branch plays guitar - in every live and video, you see her playing her guitar. in videos, avril strums the guitar maybe once if that even though she's got the damn thing strapped around her body. i've never seen her actually perform. oh wait scratch that. i had the unfortunate oppurtunity of seeing her on the grammies (my sister & her friends were watching it) and on something else. neither of which she had her guitar. sorry, but i think if she's gonna flaunt her so-called "guitar skillz" she should at least play the damn thing when performing. and if the record label isn't actually letting her do what she wants, then she needs to dish out some of that bitchy attitude she's so proud of. i also disapprove of her constant bashing on other pop artists. yes, avril's pop. i thought she was pop before i knew who she was (i heard the complicated song before i'd ever seen her or knew what she was about). i liked this song. i occasionally like random english pop songs and i thought "hey, this is kinda catchy". but then i found out she was some punk-wannabe and that this song was supposed to be in the punk genre. that turned me off. anyway, back to what i was saying. she's a pop-artist. and she bashes on other pop artists. maybe i'm being hypocritical - actually i'm not 'cuz i have nothing to say about pop artists that are out now i don't even really keep up with what goes on in the entertainment industry in america (i somehow manage to find shit out anyway - usually from other people going on about it all), but avril's constantly dissing other artists - saying britney's a ho (actually, i do agree with that, but hey it's britney spears - one of the biggest pop stars out now, she's allowed and she's got the body to be doing that stuff so whatever), shakira shouldn't have a record deal - she can't even speak english, etc etc etc. i don't agree with that. it's disrespectful and i've learned that you gotta have at least a -small- amount of respect for the artists who made it 'cuz hey, they must've done -something- right to have gotten where they are now. sure i don't approve of the things they do and i certainly don't like the music, but they're famous and i'm not so that counts for something (yes, i wanna be a musician - in japan. har har). if yawl want good music, check out some Japanese, Korean, Chinese, or Thai Pop. or actually since most of you are into rock music, Japanese Rock like X Japan, Dir en Grey, Malice Mizer (in the Klaha and Tetsu days, with the exception of "ILLUMINATI" which was when Gackt was the lead singer - i dislike gackt), Due le Quartz, Aioria, Kana, etc etc etc. or Chinese Rock like Silver Ash (Silver Ash is actually the first "major" rock band in China and pretty much the only well-known band there). yes, this is a shameless promotion of my current obsessions. XD err.. i'll shut up now, but if anyone's actually interested in it, AIM me xx yumi sama xx ciao! i'm done. |

no capitalizing the name! *dies* omg. err anywho.. i don't know about that being his "suicide note". after all, he was drunk when he killed himself. and yawl know hide was a heavy alcoholic so he had to have been so gone that he was close to getting alcohol poisoning or something to have done that. i still think it was an accident. if you watch hide in concert videos or behind-the-stage clips, you can tell he wasn't faking being happy and smiley. as for potential suicide notes, i think "hurry go round" is worse than pink spider. hurry go round is from the 1st person POV talking about himself. Pink Spider is referring to another person. but i still don't think hide meant to. he had so much going for him - his english career getting started, x japan re-grouping in 2000 (minus toshi), and he probably had many more things planned for the future. it's one of those "mysteries of the world" i guess |
