Okay, well here is something to think about to all you people arguing this. Look in the Rolling Stones magazine from about 2 months ago. You will see an interview with Ben Harper, and he says in the interview that he smokes herb. It basically proves that this is what this song is about, and all of you can argue that there is deeper meaning if you want. However, no one will ever be able to prove it either way, and you can all argue about your opinions, but just keep that in mind. Ben may have written the song about something else, but it's not likely. All of you people who are just arguing that it's not about weed or drugs or anything just because you don't do that and you think so highly of Ben Harper that you think he doesn't either are wrong. The meaning of your theory of what the song is about could be right, but your reasoning and means for thinking that are most likely wrong. Take it easy, and don't just argue about the meaning of the song because you don't smoke. I don't smoke, but I am an open minded person and this appears failry obviously, and if you don't see it then you are too closeminded and your thinking just revolves around your personal opinions of things. |
