I'm coming to you from nearly three years in the future to agree wholeheartedly! Glad I'm not the only one to hear the similarities (and the comparison is definitely meant as a compliment, from me at least). Dustin has not only a gift with lyrics, but his voice is just perfect for the music Thrice makes. I've been a lifetime fan since first hearing Identity Crisis some time ago in 2001. Hard to believe it's been so long, and sad to know they're on hiatus for now... I have faith they'll be struck by the urge to make more amazing music though, haha. |

I dont know why, but this has always been one of my favorite sublime songs. i used to just think nothing of it(or as little as possible for a sublime song... i still loved it), but the more you listen to it, the better it gets. i think its because he puts more and more emotion into the singing as the song goes on. |

Anyone that likes hip-hop and sublime should DEFINITELY check out KRS-one. as someone said, he is THE godfather of hip-hop basically, i dont know where it would be without him. Also, sublime got much of their musical style from him, if you listen to KRS then put in a sublime CD, it's the same dub style shit, i hate to say it, but sublime ripped off KRSone heavily, they used lots of his shit. but sublime's still the best band, ever, regardless. |
