i dont know if anyone actually said the real meaning of this song yet ... probobly not even tho theres almost 200 posts on it so far ... so ill point it out. its about someone writing a letter from hell. you know if there were so many people making posts only about how much finch rocks and how awsome they are (because we all already know that abviously and which are pretty much annoying as hell ... thats not really what these message boards are for) there would be a hell of a lot less posts and it would be so much easier to actually read these things and i would know if anyone actually got this right.

wow thats a shame that people would actually stop listening to an awsome band like finch just beacuse they are on the radio occasionally and get thier video played a few times on mtv. Thats really sad. It really makes you no better than the "teeny boppers" themselves. They listen to the radio to tell them what they should like and you stop likeing somthing just cuz its on the radio. They try to be cool by listening to whats on the radio and you try to be cool and stop liking somthing cuz its on the radio. Thats really a shame. You are just as much a scene lover as they are. They dont care about the music they just care about being cool and apperently so do the people who now miraculously hate finch overnight because they happened to be on the radio. I really hope that whole scene obsession works out for you. Its not about the music its about being cool right?

i love this song. It kicks ass! Anyway, I just wanted to say how compleetly fed up i am with everyone and their "oh its defiantly about a relationship!" theories. Granted that once in a while it is about a relationship but for the most part when it comes to screamo and really good emo its definatly not the case at all. The people that comented in the first couple of comments didnt even try to listen to the song at all. You chose the easy answer. If you had actually listened to it youd know that its much deeper than "oh ho hum i lost my girlfrined". Ill admit i had no idea what it was actually about but at leaste i understood enough to realize it wasnt just about that. I dont mean to sound like im better than anyone i know im not but come on guys. I mean there has to be somthing better to this music because if there wasnt then theyd be just as rediculous as any pop band out there. THats why they use the word emotional in thiese genres because you can actually feel the emotions of the artist through the music. And whats so special about feeling another break up song. (not that theres anything bad about break up songs but lets just try to widen our horizens)

this song has so much emotion in it. Everytime i listen to it im just like damn, what made him hurt like that. Now as for the meaning of the song im not sure. I havent read all of your thoughts on it. I think maybe its about someone in his life that was basically shunned from society and everyone hated her (hence 'she burns') and he is starting to feel the same way and realizing what its like for her and/or starts to feel like her because he wants to be with her and makes the world hate him too so he can undertand her better. maybe im wrong but thats what id like to think it means lol. The way this song is done is just so emotional its great. The screaming is in just the perfect parts. ok well im done. peace out kids

fisrt of all the whole fight over not labeling finch is just stupid. if u cant put somthing into a catagory then u either dont like that catagory(and are ashamed to listen to it) or just dont know what the hell it is ur listening to so u fight about how it shouldnt be labled which just makes u compleetly ignorant. Finch is screamo and thats it. anyway i just saw fight club last night and that movie kicks ass. When the guy said project mayhem i was like SHIT the finch song! lol ... but if u wanna see a really kick ass movie see donnie darko it kicks fight clubs ass so hard. (and keep in mind i love fight club) and the second part of the song "Can you begin at the ending, So that I may begin again? I took this from you, I thought I was you Now don't misunderstand me I never meant to create you Only mayhem" sounds like hes talking about the movie and about tylers other self. this song is just awsome. one of my favorites. mostly because i can relate it to my friends death. its kinda how i feel. like obviously all of it wouldnt apply but most of it just hits me right in the heart. i know its really about love and all that but its nice that this song isnt so closed to one thing. it could be related to a lot of things. they leave it somewhat open ended. thats why its so awsome. and of course the screaming just adds to the emotion of it. finch is just great.
