of course im not sure... but someone else had the idea that the two-headed boy could be the boy anne frank had a relationship with/jeff mangum... and i think that makes sense... "Daddy please hear this song that I sing In your heart there's a spark that just screams For a lover to bring a child to your chest that could lay as you sleep And love all you have left like your boy used to be Long ago wrapped in sheets warm and wet" -- maybe calling the boy's father "daddy" -reminding- him that he wants another child to love him....b/c jeff wants to be that child so he could be alive with anne "Blister please with those wings in your spine Love to be with a brother of mine How he'd love to find your tongue in his teeth In a struggle to find secret songs that you keep wrapped in boxes so tight Sounding only at night as you sleep " -- someone said "blister" used to be "sister" which would make sense since anne frank lived in the same house... but either way its anne frank after she died(those wings in your spine) and hes talking about how she wishes she could be w/ the boy (jeff's "new" brother/ the other pt of the two-headed boy) "In my dreams you're alive and you're crying, as your mouth moves in mine soft and sweet, rings of flowers around your eyes and I'll love you for the rest of your life... " --how jeff loves anne frank.. "Brother see we are one in the same And you left with your head filled with flames And you watched as your brains fell out through your teeth Push the pieces in place Make your smile sweet to see Don't you take this away I'm still wanting my face on your cheek"-- by saying "brother see we are one in the same" its like saying, see? we want the same thing... then it goes on saying, but then you died so "push the pieces back in place, make you smile sweet to see" so that they could both still be with anne.. like, dont let it end by dying, bc i still want to be you so i can be w/ her... "And when we break we'll wait for our miracle God is a place where some holy spectacle lies And when we break we'll wait for our miracle God is a place you will wait for the rest of your life" --maybe saying when the boy and jeff split theyre hoping for a miracle so they can both be w. her.... "god is a place..." is referring to heaven where they will wait for their holy spectacle/miracle... and he goes on saying that the boy will wait in heaven until the miracle comes... im not sure about this... but by saying he will wait for the rest of his life, its kinda saying she wont come... maybe b/c she will go to Jeff? the line "dont hate her when she gets up to leave" could support that too... "Two headed boy she is all you could need She will feed you tomatoes and radio wires And retire to sheets safe and clean But don't hate her when she gets up to leave" the first line just saying that anne is all both the boy and jeff need.. |

| for the person who said they dont like daves voice in this song-- while i do like it, i read that they had added some effects to his voice because they were really just playing around with this project and werent recording it as something that was definitely going to be distributed or anything. the whole cd was self recorded and was picked up only after it was finished. | |

| some one asked about the line "I need some meaning I can memorize"-- if you think about that whole verse and the next couple lines as the girl's point of view, it makes sense. This girl is pretty much a groupie as suggested by the lines about the crowd, the club, and the band...I think the "meaning" that she memorized are song lyrics, and shes suprised by how cynical he is...hence the "but you write such pretty words" | |
