There is a storyline to Downward Spiral... and this is what I believe is the remorse of what he has done. This isn't even the ending, "The Downward Spiral" is. This is a reflection of the end... after which he has killed himself. As Lagduf said, the narrator (Trent Reznor) realizes that his fault is that he couldn't change; but if he could... he would. It was too late.

A very personal song from Slug. The comedy in the middle of the song lightens it up, but it's a serious song nonetheless. A better song on Lucy Ford and a highlight of the Anticon compilation.

This song was produced and written with Seger in mind. It was done much more effectively by a great singer like Seger, not Metallica's lead singer (forgot his name after the Napster ordeal), who sounds like he's forcing his words instead of singing.
The only classic remake that's real notable is Guns N Roses "Knockin On Heaven's Door", but that's just me. |

Yes, great song. Again, Seger's voice is perfect.
The harmony at the end is icing on the cake. Crosby and Nash were on this album, did they do they harmony at the end of this song? I've been wondering.

Nostaglia of teenage love. Brings back memories of high school, which wasn't too long ago but it's easily forgotten. Summers without consequences when everything is more exciting. How sweet is that?
Seger has one of the best Rock voices I've ever heard. Beautiful song. |

A highly underrated song (not that anything Led Zeppelin ever did is truly underrated or underappreciated) with beautiful lyricism and great great guitar work. Typical Zeppelin and that's saying a lot. |
