Mario Winans – I Don't Wanna Know Lyrics 20 years ago
This song just hurts me... I wish I was in the shoes of the singer where he "didn't want to know". I know too much of what's going on before my very eyes. LOL Man... what a beautiful song. It's got a great beat and awesome lines.

Dire Straits – Telegraph Road Lyrics 20 years ago
This is an epic song... there's an 11 minute version on their "Money For Nothing" album... it's a beautiful song... plus it's recorded live with the piano parts. This is excellent Dire Straits musicianship with echoing guitars, haunting vocals, and, of course, the rest of the band at the top of their game.

Simply brilliant.

TransAtlantic – All of the Above: Full Moon Rising/October Lyrics 20 years ago
What an epic song! 30 minutes of musical bliss... it leaves you feeling so damn good! I haven't had a chance to really see what it means to me because I just zone out during this song. LOL I recommend it if you enjoy listening to musical masterpieces, and a very mellow one at that!

Willie Nelson – Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is great... I must admit I identify with this song a lot... the whole "cowboy lifestyle" I guess. Always restless. LOL Great song though... Good ol' Willie.

Dream Theater – Space-Dye Vest Lyrics 20 years ago
The line that gets me about this song:
"I'll never be open again, I could never be open again."

It's a super-ambient song... very bass-intensive. Awesome feel. You kind of feel like you're lost in space... and only the lyrics are binding you to anything. Pretty good song if you can get a hold of it.

Queen – Bijou Lyrics 20 years ago
I don't know if this song is based on Jeff Beck's work, but damn... this song is POWERFUL. The first time I heard this song I was just floored. The guitar is so awesome... it crystallized this feeling of loneliness I had when I first heard it. So now whenever I hear it again, that feeling comes back... but it's such a great track to just let the music wash over you. It sounds like the guitar itself is crying over being alone.

Sonata Arctica – The Power Of One Lyrics 20 years ago
I agree with ZareliMan, this song is a masterpiece. The change-ups are awesome and I love the double bass on the drums. It's a solid song, great for those air guitar sessions.

Hefner – I Stole A Bride Lyrics 20 years ago
I think it's a great song with some smartly written lyrics. On the surface it looks just like a song written about the famous legend of Helen and Paris, but... to me, it can mean trying to steal someone else's significant other. We all know that still happens to this day. It's kind of funny how human beings haven't changed since the time of Helen and Troy.

Linkin Park – Somewhere I Belong Lyrics 21 years ago
Good song... it's supposedly the only "happy" song on their entire CD. The rest are going to be dark and epic.

Haddaway – What Is Love? Lyrics 21 years ago
I loved this song way before the movie was ever released. Great tune to dance to... good "story" as far as these types of songs go.

Jeff Healy Band – Angel Eyes Lyrics 21 years ago
This song reminds me of the last dance at elementary school. LOL That was a very long time but still... this song just captured that moment when the girls would be dancing with me and crying. And they would stare up at me and just give me these looks of "You could've had me." But I was young and foolish. Great slow dance song.

I wish I were a mod... nuke those posts talking about Fight Club. You can COMPARE it to Fight Club, but don't start dissing the movie in this thread... for that... well... for that you gotta get lives.

PS. Nuke this one too.

Gowan – Healing Waters Lyrics 22 years ago
This song was written very shortly after Princess Diana died. I think it was a lot better than Elton John's tribute to her.
