| I really don't know what kinda of crazy schools you all are going to, and what you are really going through. I live in canada things are a lil different in my school then what i have read about yours, the populations of our school is about 480 we live in a small town with one intersection, we are a very close nit commmunity, i never said it was good thing, the point is in my life, myparents don't tel me to fight people, they tell me to talk it out. I don't force my beliefs about religon on other people by stating MY opinion on message boards like this. I don't label people as a "slut" just because they dress sexy. I listen to whatever i want and i don't care what people in my school think because after i graduate i am never gonna see half of them anymore. This song is simple, the literal meaning of this song is POD was trying to state some of the major things that teenagers have to deal with these dayz, school shootings are rare yes but you can;'t say it won't happen at my school cause it just might, Little suzy who has no respect for herself, is a way of representing one of the so called "sluts" she seems to have inadequate self esteem, and does not believe in herself because girl go through so many double standards in life that guys don't even notice. girls may be "sluts," but boys are "players." Girls are "whores";boys are "studs." Sex "ruins" girls and enhances boys and as for Johnny he is simply one of those boys that trys so hard to be "popular" that he neverget the chance to realize "popular" is a state of mind and to be happy withy ourself is to be "popular." POD did and excellent job writing this song. and hopefully by writing this song it will make some of the ignorant adults on this planet realize that things aren't gonna always be the way they were when they were young, and stuff like this happens and communication is the only way to fix it. High school is one of the most memorable parts of your life, you shouldn't have to fear going to school, but you should always fear leaving it behind, you don't know what you got until it is gone! | |
