I live in LA, and this song pretty much pin points how I feel when I'm here. Looking through the glass is a metaphor. When you look at a store's display glass, you see whats inside of the store. Similiarly hes looking through the bullshit in LA and seeing people for what they are, through their act, through the glass. Then he goes on to say: And while your outside looking in Describing what you see Remember what your staring at is me Here hes saying that while you are living your act, remember that I'm being me. I haven't heard this song and I haven't hear this band, but I think their name is pretty cool. A perfect circle is actually impossible to obtain since you would need a shape with infinite number of sides to get pefection. You can get close to a full circle but you can never reach infinity. So maybe they're saying that its kind of like life, no matter how hard you work at something you are not actually going to get there but the idea of "a pefect circle" is there to tease you. Or maybe they are saying that they are that good and they are the circle. Or maybe they think circles are cool... I dunno I like how its open to interpretation... any thoughts? |

| I take this sunday business to mean the way one feels on sunday. The week is about getting shit done and school and work and trying to fit in partying, drugs, being blazed. Saturday party hard. Sunday comes around people are going to church, chill back watch some football, lounging. Sundays the day to reflect, your sobering up thinking about what you got to do what you have been through and what not. "when the rides done.." You would kill for this moment, for a night like this even though you know its not going to last. The night is as special to him as it is to her. first of all I gotta say at first when i started listening to lp, i didnt look much into them and just thought their songs were awesome. But now that im looking into the songs more n more, they affect me like none other, they talk about shit I think about all the time. For papercut, I dont think its about him having a spilit personality, I think that voice inside was created because of how everyone acts towards each other. If you are walking and you trip, people laugh at you, make fun of your faults. Shit like that makes us conscience about the wrong things we do, the face inside. Its like this voice is preventing him from being himself. Hes so worried about fucking up that he isnt living for himself. Regardless, sick ass song!!! |
