This song is so beautiful, the bridge is amazing. "i'm always wondering where you are...". Sherri and Stacy make my heart stop. I think this song is about a marriage that has grown in to something beautiful over time. The widowed wife is looking back and realizing that. I could be wrong. Eisley is going to be huge when their full length comes out in Early 2005. I guarantee it. |

i refused to listen to any part of this album before it came out on june 10th, mostly because i think that they wanted to present the album in it's entirety completely produced. i heard really good reviews about the stuff but this first song totally blew me away. i feel that radiohead is combining what has worked for them in the past to make just a totally solid quality album. i'm glad that they finally started using johnny to his potential again, but kept the sort of electronic feel from kid a and amnesiac. i don't know that this song is necessarily about bush, but maybe just about an american apathy towards politics. but i'm probably wrong. it happens. |

i can't believe how few posts new order has! this album is so good and hardly anybody has said anything about it. Anyways, I think that this song is about someone finding a new love and dropping everything for them and just going with them wherever they go. My favorite part is "We're having the time of our lives, We're lost in a cruel paradise" great song, probably my favorite on the album. |

I decided to read the lyrics to this song because the title caught my eye. the only thing i have to say from a christian perspective is that i think non christians expect christians to be perfect in every single aspect of their lives, which is impossible. there is no doubt in my mind that christians are hypocrites and when we have people like pat robertson and jerry faliwell representing us then of course christians are going to get a bad reputation. but its not about being perfect, its about being forgiven through grace and that is the core of christianity. you can make fun of me for putting in my two cents but the fact remains that most people are ignorant to what christianity is all about when it is about the relationship and not a bunch of legalistic "religious" crap where we just attend the services every sunday and say our prayers and go out and live a hypocritical lifestyle for the rest of the week. thats it. |
