I agree with classicleft. I think it is about money. I think this song is about how money pretty much controls everything we do. The object of the song (human kind) is only procrastinating because they're not getting their payback for whatever it is they do. This song is about money, not pot, not aspiring. It's about our greedy nature once again. At least, that's MY opinion. |

Buying this CD so many years ago was the best thing that ever happened to me. I'm on the quest to own every Incubus CD, and holy shit man, I'm almost there! Fungus Amongus opened up my eyes to a band that not only kicks ass, but manages to be different than everything around it while still kicking ass. I never cared how big they got, or how they changed...it was always for the best and Incubus will always reign above all! |

This song isn't about one given person. It's about humanity in general. We are all greedy control freaks. Look at the lyric "all of us are heavensent and there was never meant to be only one." DUH! right there it gives you the meaning. Stop trying to be the best and so big and perfect. Just be like everyone else and deal with it! |
