''I just don't feel a thing, when you say, we'll get there someday'' Those lines just scream out beauty to me but this song is excellent from start to finish i love how Jimmy Eat World can be so mellow then hard hitting then back to mellow again. I think this song is about disillusionment and frustration. It tries to make people prick their ears up and PAY ATTENTION to whats important-''Pay attention stop paying for regret, fossil resources all used up''. Jimmy Eat World are masters when it comes to making people listen to them. |

I can understand what a lot of people are saying about this song and some excellent points have been made. First of all i believe that the song was about LSD and that because it wasn't socially acceptable for the Beatles to be open about this Lennon invented the story about the picture. Secondly i agree that it is irrelevant anyway. People should gather their own interperatations from music and see the song through their own expeiriences. By the way-The guy who wrote about Pamelas Hepititis and Britneys boobs, i salute you...that was a great point. |

isn't there two untitled Jimmy Eat World songs....one of which something like ''You are a liar, i am the victim''? Anyway there isn't much interperatation nessecary for this song but it's a great one nonetheless. If you can say it in a few words go for it. Don't ramble! I think it's basically just him watching someone in ''awe''. |

I know what you mean, i love how Cursive can be so twisted and beautiful all at once. The hard to soft transitions are amazing as well..this song actually reminds me of a bad relationship a friends parents had because she had a bit of a drinking problem. I'm not sure if thats the intended effect but that's the impression i gather. I want to help you, but you've got to say the words: "I want to be cured." Fucking Great isn't it!! |
