The moment I heard this song and read the lyrics I knew exactly what they were saying. He is talking about the effects of Marijuana and Mushrooms. From experience taking Mushrooms causes thoughts to randomly pop in your head, you could think of the most craziest things. Sometimes you feel like you aren't alive or you think you are dreaming while under the effect of shrooms. One of the more memorable moments is when colors change. The sky turned to a purple so I see what they meant by "What if blue sky, all of a sudden turned a purple hue?" The whole sky was purple, and its nothing about a friend or gf... because 80% of the song is drug related. 4:20 as we all know is a slang for some bud smokin time. |

Everyone keeps talking about how LP should be a "better" band and do a little something different. The moment they start doing that they won't be LP anymore. LP is LP because of the style of music they do. Its unique. It may have similarites to other bands but it has its own style in the way the lyrics work and the way they sing and play. I love LP and for every 4 LP fans there is gonna be someone who hates them.
As for the song, it could be about depression and drug use. Most trippy like drugs, shrooms or acid or things along those lines make you feel like you are losing your mind, so it could be partial drug use. But I think its more of finding where you belong in life. It could also be about a relationship, where do I belong? With you or alone? |

This new cd is awesome, I just got it today and I can't stop listening to it.
Basically I think gregnmarck got it right, but I think that its more of they both care for each other but its for the better to just forget it because for some reason it isn't gonna work or will ever work. |

Well even though id say its cliche it seems music revolves around love and heartbreak. To me this song has that heartbreak written all over it. I think it talks about a girl in which their relationship ended early and now he wants her back soooo bad and he feels like he is missing out on the greatest thing in his life. All he wanted was that special someone, the one like no other. Now he is acting like it doesn't mean anything to him yet he still craves for her. |
