punk is dead. look what punk is today. Punk is now a music, it's not a way of life anymore and its not the same as it used to be. The spirit may still be alive, you can never kill the spirit, but punk is dead. If theyve made punk rock so mainstream as to play it on MTV and to make movies about it (SLC Punk) How much more mainstream can you get? Punk was being orignal. You cant be original anymore, the ideas are here, the spirit is here, but punk is gone. it is dead. |

this songs meaning is pretty obvious. considering it came out when the whole iraq situation started getting heavy. What he's doing is protesting the war. He's saying how stupid it is to spend millions on bombs when you could be spending millions on helping people rather than killing them. |

The Casualties have really good music. theyre lyrics may not mean shit, who cares? theyre just an anthem for punks. Theyve been around for a long time, and i think you should give them some respect. I dont like the casualties at all, but i still respect them for holding streetpunk together. Who cares if theyre lyrics arent gourged with politcal views, or if they don't sing about changing the world. Theyre just a few guys having fun making music and that's what it's all about. And when all these dudes come and try to analyize and catigorize their muisic, that's when shit gets fucked up. I'm sure everyone who's posted in here likes some good punk. And you bastards are arguing over bands, which are supposed to be helping keeping us united. But instead you just have to be more cynical about it and put you 2 cents in. If you don't like them, atleast respect them because theyre pretty old now and theyve been through alot of shit. And theyre just trying the best they can to keep the underground alive, united, and strong. |
