Incubus – Talk Shows on Mute Lyrics 21 years ago
I agree with Risingbeauty and missbee422 - the song is about the way television and the media seem to influence the way people in our society think more than they should - similar to the theme of 'idiot box' - yes the song and video is riddled with references, and no the song is not about bush unless you want it to be.

....for all the 'face vs. fate' people - the posted lyrics are correct - it's one of each

Incubus – A Crow Left of the Murder Lyrics 21 years ago
Adding on to what RisingBeauty wrote - not only is the crow seperate from the murder...but he it to the left - just like the political views of incubus - against the right-wing conservatives running the country right now.

Brand New – Guernica Lyrics 21 years ago
"So I’m asking you to shine it on and stick around,
I’m not writing my goodbyes"
takin*bak*sunday, i think in this line jesse is imploring his grandpa to hang on and keep living until he can return - becuase he wants to be there to say goodbye, not to say goodbye in writing.

Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody Lyrics 22 years ago
Everyone on here is going to criticize my view, but since Freddie has been quoted to have said the song "was written" about nothing, this doesn't mean its "about" nothing". Everyone has their own interpretation. Personally, since it seems like it sort of just came to Freddie out of nowhere, I think that it came to him as a sort of foresight, since even thought it wasn't written about AIDS (yes, i know this - so don't post how it was written before AIDS was an epidemic), it can still be applied to his situation with AIDS and make sense. Bismillah makes sense (well about as much sense as it makes in any situation), as crying out to God in asking for another chance to live (after all, weren't Freddie's parents muslim or something?). As for the whole "Beelzebub has a devil set aside for me" this could apply to Freddie's party-boy lifestyle and how it was sinful. I just think it's weird how this can be APPLIED to his situation later in life with AIDS - even though I KNOW it wasn't written about AIDS (obviously)....and I still think its kind of eerie how it came to him apparently out of nowhere and almost predicted his future.

I also happen to like pkjun's interpretation - it fits very well.

Our Lady Peace – Innocent Lyrics 22 years ago
I think this song is a lot about how people feel as teenagers. They use the examples of Johnny and Tina/Judith since that's how a lot of teenagers feel in high school, and people can relate to that. He's saying that the depressions you go through in high school aren't the end of the world, and they aren't as big a deal as they seem. Things will always get better, and eventually you will grow out of those feelings and appreciate yourself for who you are. I think the chorus about innocence means that people will bring you down and make you feel bad as you progress through this time in your life, but don't hold it against them because all of us teenagers are innocent, and we're all inexperienced at life in general, no matter what we think.

Incubus – The Warmth Lyrics 23 years ago
I agree with save_your_moms - the sythnthesized guitar at the beginning gives a deep sea kinda of feel. One thing that always comfused me about the song was whether is went "or should I hold my head up high and throw a wrench in spokes by, leaving the air behind me clear." or "or should I hold my head up high and throw a wrench in spokes by leaving the air behind me clear." (notice the comma) is heing throwing a wrench in the spokes (messing things up) as a result of leaving the air behind him clear? And what does this lyrics mean? hmmm
