"Constants aren't so constant anymore" it reminds me of a song I wrote myself, called Constants and Variables, which was basically talking about how a relationship can change and fall apart after time. This song kicks ass. I asked a girl to be in a long distance relationship with me this past Valentine's day, and this song has even more meaning to me now because of that. "Will you be my, valentine, if I'm a world away?" fortunately she said yes and I'm so happy. Hopefully the relationship will see a happy ending tho. |

I'm pretty sure that the singer was in a long distance relationship for a long long time, cause he's written many great songs about it, like "Valentine" and "Michelle with one L", I feel his pain. Long distance relationships are a tough thing to deal with and really hard to pull off, I think they shouldn't happen unless both hearts are really in it. |

I second that, it uses the one night stand thing to show how afraid he is of getting close to someone and getting hurt in the end. That's why a lot of guys don't commit, cause they rather just sleep around then put their heart into something and get it handed back to them. To me this song is just saying I don't want to risk getting a broken heart. |

This song reminds me of my ex girlfriend, this first girl I thought I was in love with, it was long distance, for 2 years, then it fell apart. All I wanted was for her to be by my side, and the longer it went on the farther she felt, and the more hopeless I became. The only thing that was right for the both of us was to end it, that's what it means to me when he says "and I know that this is what's right."
But now I'm in another long distance relationship with someone I met over the net and I'm not going to make the same mistakes again. So this song means a lot to me. I can tell this was a really important relationship for the singer cause there are other songs that seem to be about the long distance thing, like "Valentine". |

this is probably my favorite song after No Sensitivity. I relate to the song in a different way, cause a lot of female friends I have always feel so imperfect, and they are, nothing's wrong with that, cause nobody is perfect, but on the other hand they're perfect in their on way. Like my girlfriend, she's perfect to me, and she's definitely amazing to me. I know this probably sin't what the song is about, but that's how I relate to it. |

This is most definitely my favrotie Jimmy Eat World song of all time, I love the acoustic version to, I like the "now hunny I'm through talkin" part, but I also like the back up vocals in the electric version. It's such a great song tho. I always tell ppl who only know JEW from their singles and recent album to listen to this song, everybody falls in love with it, has a great melody, and "I'm taking my kisses back from you" is a great land, lots of people can relate to that. |

Nobody can really concretely say what it's about unless they hear it from Chris himself, but the cool thing is not knowing what it's about and finding your own meaning, and this song is good for that, and that makes it kick ass. |

The cool thing about Saves the Day is that they give you the wrong idea on purpose, they give you these violent imagery and it steers you away from thinking about romance when that's what the song is about. Everything in this song is figurative, of course killing someone wouldn't show them how beautiful they are, but it's all metaphorical, he doesn't want to kill them at all, he loves the person and wants her and everyone else to see there's more to her then what they can see physically, she wants her to rise above that. Her ghost represents the beauty inside her. I'm not speaking on a hunch here, the singer said so himself. |

Actually what the song is about (and this is from Dryden himself) is having doubt in his religion and asking for answers and saying God if you exist please forgive me for not having faith in you, but give me a sign or something that you're there. He uses bible references in the song to illustrate the religion he's talking about. This is one of my favorite AAF songs, and one I can relate to. Actually what the song about is Dryden wondering if Christianity is right for him or not. Asking for some kind of sign to give him faith in it or something to believe in. It's about his doubt in the religion and wanting sometime to rely on, and saying God if you exist please forgive me for not having faith in you. I heard this from Dryden himself.

I like both videos, I don't know if I could choose between them, the first one was classic tho, it always made me laugh. But the second one is cool too, MR. MIAGI!!! How cool is that??? lol.
By the way DaDreadlockChick, Micheal Jackson does not suck, I admit he's not cool anymore and his music has went downhill, but his old stuff in the 80's was bad ass, and he made some of the best videos ever, Thriller paved the way for music videos. |

I totally agree with you. I know a lot of people haven't given them a chance cause they think they're a novelty band cause they're big hit was a cover and their videos are always silly. But their sound is really different from everyone elses and the writing is very creative. Have you listened to "Greatest Hits"? I love that album. |

I love this song too, they shoulda played it durning the movie, or made a music video for it, it's better then the other singles off the Spider-Man soundtrack (Sum 41, Chad Kroeger and Josey Whateverhisnameis)
AAF's song just captured the whole romance of Peter Parker and Mary Jane, and the song somehow has that spidery feel, it's wierd, and cool. |

I saw on one of AAF's sites that it's about that point in a relationship where you want to break up with someone and get over them but you still kinda have feelings for them, and you frankly wish they would die cause then things wouldn't be so complicated. This is one of my favorite Alient Ant Farm songs. I love AAF's lyrics cause they're so cryptic and tongue and cheek. It's hard to make sense of some of them, like this one, but anybody can have their take on the words cause it's so unspecific.
To me it's about trying to change yourself to be with someone, or trying to look for a relationship that's deeper or more serious instead of having only a physical relationship with no emotion. That's my take on it. Anybody else?

I actually really know what the song was written about. I heard from a very reliable source. If you guys know the band Homegrown, the lead singer from that band's girlfriend cheated on him with Adam Lazarra (TBS lead singer). Adam and the Homegrown singer were best friends before this happened. This tore apart their relationship apart, and Adam wrote this song about it. If you listen closely to the part of song where the 2 singers are singing at once and it sounds like mumbling and some of the things you can't understand, they're actually singing lyrics to a Homegrown song. I heard this all from a reliable source. So there you go peeps, now you know what it's about. Adam messed with the Homegrown singer's chick. |
