Im a huge fan of NIN, and i dont see the reznor influence, if there is any in here, it would just be the style of trent that has rubbed off on brian. I dont think trent has an Active role here, as they dont like each other anymore |

kinda like a cloud i was up way up in the sky and i was feeling some feelings
you wouldn't believe sometimes i don't believe them myself and i decided i was
never coming down. just then a tiny little dot caught my eye it was just about
too small to see. but i watched it way too long and that dot was pulling me down.
I PERSONALLY think this song is about at time when the subject of the song was on a high point in his/her life, then the 'dot' he sees (dot maybe being a metaphor for problem/fault) brings him down, this could be related to love: as in him finding a fault in his lover.......obbsessing about it.......and driving her away, or a problem he has where he cant stop thinking about it........and it takes over him, that also relates to down in it being a suicide fantasy.
I dont think it relates to drugs...trent reznors more an emotion expressionist, rather than an artist whos songs are about drugs........
well thats what i think anyway...... |

This is the Nine Inch Nails part, so if you are looking here you obviously are a fan. Now what bothers me is that people can say that Johnny Cash's version is better, with is complete heresy...there is only one person whos supposed to sing this and most of the people here will agree that it Michael Trent Reznor- and like i said before ' reznor is a vocal and lyrical god' not some country bumkin who sounds like hes got something strategically placed up his rectum. Id put my money on a carrot. |

Seriously Listen to this then the johnny cash version, it sound like an old man just reading the lyrics off a piece of paper, this song wasnt meant for country music, its an industrial song and thats how it should be, Its like Audioslave covering Britany Spears' songs. NOT MEANT TO HAPPEN! |
