I think that this is the one song that sounds better on Background Music. The background vocals on the full length sound much better than those on their self-titled release. My favorite American Nightmare song. |

I'm not so sure it's about shooting up...I think I might have sworn I read somewhere that Jake was straight edge. It sure doesn't sound like it's glorifying drug addiction in anyway. Either way, this is my favorite Converge song. |

"It's tragic...but I am sobering up". The singers from ETID, the Icarus Line, Converge, and, although they're awful, Glassjaw might as well just start up their own jazz/hardcore band. I love that jazzy singing that a lot of hardcore singers slip into. This song is fucking incredible. |

This is probably one of the most potent "emo" songs ever. It's just incredible how the song wells up into a crescendo, then settles back down again into the slow, whispered parts. And the lyrics are beautiful, too. |
