| I don't know which version I like better: theirs, or AFI's. To each their own, I suppose. | |

procrastinatingbum, I agree! Everyone else is trying to analyze this song like it's so full of euphemisms, but it's a rather simple song. However, I don't think it's about a sexual encounter that holds a lot of meaning, I think it's just about sex with a complete stranger. I don't have time right now to really go in depth, but I will later...Whatever the case may be, Davey's a god, plain & simple. He's hot, inventive, intelligent, and a beautiful creature all around. I like his "scary" look. It's very becoming. = ) |

Bottom line, this song is so amazing. It brings tears to my eyes, literally. Oh, and I don't know what the FUCK you guys are talking about when you say the new lead singer (Steve Augeri [I think that's how you spell his last name...]) is horrible. How can you possibly say that when he sounds almost EXACTLY like Steve Perry? I saw the "new" Journey perform, and they were absolutely amazing. Although, without Steve Perry, they're missing that special ambience that they would have otherwise... Whatever...JOURNEY FOREVER! |

| Oh, and if you want punk, listen to The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Circle Jerks, Suicidal Tendencies, & Operation Ivy. Most of you will be unpleasantly surprised when you discover that your "punk" music ain't shit. | |

BassGuitarDude...chill out. If you don't like blink-182, is it seriously that difficult for you to change the station? Honestly, though...What do you think gives you the right to go around handing out judgment like candy on Halloween? Is your life so frought with boredom and unimportance that you find it necessary to talk shit about things other people like? You seem intelligent enough, yet I can't understand why you feel the need to be a dickwad because you disagree with other people's opinions. I agree, blink-182 is most definitely not punk. However, you cannot say that they are not punk-influenced. I'm a huge fan of blink (yet I agree that they suck live). Yeah, I definitely hate how all of these jackasses are walking around calling themselves punk because they listen to blink and Good Charlotte. Good Charlotte sucks a fatty, in my opinion. Don't even get me started on the whole "Avril Lavigne look" that's going on right now. *puke* "(The Misfits, AFI, Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Ramones, I could go on forever). All of those bands have something to offer in their music and you are chosing Blink 182 over them?" Not quite. I'm obsessive over AFI, and I love Led Zepp, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, and The Ramones. Listening to a certain band does not contradict all others. Kiddies, don't call yourself punk because everyone else expects it of you. Being punk isn't about the clothes you wear, it's about your attitude. It's about not giving a flying fuck about what people think about you and, yeah, HAVING an attitude. Throw away your stupid wristbands, toss the damn tie, get some piercings, and be yourself. |

| Green Day – Knowledge (Operation Ivy cover) Lyrics | 23 years ago |

I saw the Jimmy Eat World/Green Day/blink-182 concert (a.k.a. Pop Disaster Tour). JEW amazed me, Green Day was the best I've ever seen, and although I love blink more than life itself, they suck live. I think the song "Knowledge" is basically about a guy whose life is going nowhere. Kind of a slacker anthem, if you will. |
