The 1st TJT song i heard was "...3000 Screaming Children". 6 months later i saw them at Cornerstone, 2001. They are SUCH rock STARS. Just FRICKING amazing, that's all i can say... "into the dark", slow and somber as it is, is still quite an intense song. I love playing bass to it. it makes me think of suicide on one hand, and on the other hand, i think of how it could also be about a smalltown guy who's trying to establish himself in the world. on ANOTHER HAND... I think of how it's about life's losses. Especially in the realm of losing children. I don't think parents were meant to outlive their kids...either thru accidental death, infanticide, abortion or miscarriage, it ultimately will hurt the same. |

Hey yo. My gf got me "emotion is dead" for my BD when we were still "just friends". We listened to it like all the time and FELL IN LOVE with this song...now we sing all the parts all the time, have designed cards and posters...we're so corny and we rule at the same time...I even gave her a Pass that says "You can take me anywhere". TJT is the best. No questions. I'm taking her to the show in Winnipeg on March 12!! GO TJT! I love you guys! |
