personally i think the idea that religion is bad is a complete fallacy. relion can only be judged as good as bad to the extent that it is true or false, but since we cannot accurately judge this it is best to view religion as amoral. i always hear people blaming religion for all these problems throughout history, but it is not the fault of religion but rather the fault of humanity. humans take advantage of things for their own gain, and religion is no different. don't blame religion, blame power hungry and selfish people. |

i think it is God talking to someone who has hardened their heart and is living sinfully, and they think that it is who they are supposed to be, like they are just being themselves, but it is not what God had intended for them. |

im pretty certain this song is about God, not a girl.
the thing he is talking about leaving is probably a depressive state of mind. |

uhm...if this song is about a girl guy relationship and not about God, then i am the pope. I am mildly surprised you could mistake it for that, it is a pretty big stretch. |

a lot of this song seems to be about religion stifling (sp?) true spirituallity. but that is just how i am interpreting the first verse there i could be off. later on it seems to be about becoming broken, very common spritually to help bring us closer to God.
i'm kinda confused about the last verse, im not really sure who he is talking to here. |

nicklay...well your sorta right...this song is actually about christ and his death, basically he is singing about his imperfect relation with christ and how he can't wait to be in heaven where his relationship will be made perfect |

mmm my guess is that this song might be about him gaining popularity and not wanting that to cause him to lose contact with God |

sounds like he is speaking out against the revelation of the armageddon...like he is the hammer shattering what he believes to be a falsehood...i could be way off here though. i suppose i disagree with this song if that is the case. |

"We are pitiful and small and nothing we can do will change the fact than an "unsympathetic" God remains sovereign over our pitiful self-destructive souls."
or maybe we are miserable because of the fact that we are rebelling agains a sympathetic God who wants to help us
Great song. |

its about being happy with what you have and not wanting what you can't have...in my mind that is why it says if i stay lucky then my tounge will stay tied, for me it would be not wanting to tell someone you like them if you can't have them but im sure it can take on many meanings....or something like that :s |

i agree with diskettes, i have always thought of them as being kinda sarcastic with the are you in part like...are you a sheep? if that sea foam green part wasn't in there however i would have a completely different view of the song. |
