I feel like this song is about a girl who is cheating on her boyfriend and this song is written from the point of view of the guy she is cheating with. It's like they have feelings for each other that could be love but she won't leave her b/f and so he's just saying screw it i guess there is no future if you won't leave him. |

i really don't see any of these comparisons. i'm beggining to think half the people who posted about this song never even heard it and could care less about hearing it. i really don't have a clue what this song is about. on the surface it sounds like rape but tim kasher was goin through so much crap with a divorce when he wrote this album who knows what it could be. somehow i get this picture of a girl who hates the way she looks and wants to be like the models in the magazines and maybe when she is asking to be fixed she is asking for some kind of surgury to make her look better. |

lyprulz i know what you mean about this version lacking punch on the cd. the old sky's the limit version had a raw energy build up to it. they still have that energy when they play it live though. great song. "cause if the skyline looks this way then i don't want to sleep tonight" |

great song. for me this song is about the times when i am depressed and i have a friend who is trying to find out what is going on but i'm unable to express my thoughts into words or i don't even want to talk about it and i tell them to just go have fun because i'll be fine on my own. basically you should go back downstairs with everyone else because you're wasting your time if you think i'm gonna talk about it. thanks for caring. |
