Seems to me that they're talking about traveling... or if they're not, it sums up pretty well my feelings towards travelling... especially this part: "and even though i can't be sure memory tells me that these times are worth working for" I pile money for a while..then leave for a couple of weeks and I ask myself that exact question... couldn't have said it better...and in the end, you always think you have to come back too soon anyway: (my plane's arrival catches me off guard / we'll all be leaving with a broken heart) Anyway, no matter what it's about, it's an awesome song! well, you can probably make pretty much anything from those lyrics but Julien (the singer) said that the song was actually about anal fissures... (And no, I'm not making this up... he said it this week-end on national tv.. on the show "Tout le monde en parle"...) A lot of their songs are about diseases... "Montreal -40" is about common cold, "Le Crabe" is about cancer, "Jus de Canneberge" is about Unirary Tract Infections...etc Anyway... good song, from a great band! |
