This song is amazing. It's pretty self explanitory too, its about a break up between two people who love eachother but just can't get around an arguement that they're having. There's alot of ignorance in this forum that has been pointed out. Conor's voice doesn't have to be prefect...that doesn't mean its not good. Some people eat oranges...some eat kiwi's. Not everyone likes the same thing. And it really isn't insulting God. It's insulting Bush, and completly pointing out his aragence of using "God" as one of his main supporters. And it is simple. The lyrics. The tune. The way he sings it. But thats just it...its so fucking obvous, and he puts those simplicities together in a way that become a form of art... So wether you're pro bush or not...you have to agree with some of the things he says in this song...but you probably won't take the time to read it, and if you did you probably wouldn't admit it. So just say "i'm not a fan of this song" and stop talking like you're a mother fuckin bright eyes expert and know anything about his music, especially if this is the only song you've listend to. This song isn't one of my favorites or anything, but seeing as no ones commented I think I will. This song personaly makes me think about times in my life when I havn't felt strong enough to move along by myself and have had to get someones help, I get that mostly from the chorus, but yea, thats what I get. This song is soooo amazing. I heard it for the first time this last weekend after buying the Furtherseemsforever cd, and found it as the first song on a mix cd that they was included. The lyrics are so great...and I've learned really cool words like Embers and Trite from it. And its meaning to me...well... "Please consider all things trite Forgiveness will be the thing that gets us by I know to have something like this broken is hard to fix" Me and my girlfriend broke up about a month ago, and i'm still pretty hurt by it still I guess, and this song sorta gives me a hope that I want to have, and even though things seem hard right now ... "What's broken can be fixed tonight" ..things might get better. I can't wait to get the cd. |
