i lovelovelovelove this song.
how did you figure out the lyrics?
cos these are completely different than anything i read on like forums and stuff.
like i thought it was "said you hate it all/ but you still use shampoo" and i always loved the idea of that.
anyways, this song is so beautiful in all its chaos. its always reminded me of the chaos of unrequited feelings for a close friend-all these different things going on in your head telling you different things.
i'm happy to see someone figured out lyrics though. |

i never thought about it referring to alcholism but that seems very clear to me now.
i've always seen it as a sad sort of love song. like he sees this girl for who she really is-the good and the bad- and he wants to love her regardless. i always took the between the bars part as they're iliterally in transit between bars and he just sees her fully for the first time. i don't know. the alcholism idea makes much more sense. not every song is a love song. |

i think this is truely about growing up and changing. it's pretty clear that good old bK has changed a lot since his radish days or even his last album. i think it's a very honest song, and that honesty pours out of it, even in the simple sounding recording. |

oh man. this happened to me a while ago and all I did for 3 days was drive in circles listening to this song. I would scream the words with tears streaming down my face and everytime the end would absolutely tear me apart. I almost got in a wreck a couple times. ha ha. but fortunately we got back together so I can listen to this song without wanting to get so so drunk and pass out. |

I agree with bright eyed girl on that. I always compared Arienette to Lucy in a tale of two cities in that she was all the good pure qualities in humans that could never all manifest in one single person. However I really like what Nick Dogg has to say about this song. as far as the words go, I love it. but the music scares the crap out of me. |
