The spoken part in the middle of the braid version is off one of the tracks on the Pixies' album Surfer Rosa, "I'm Amazed." Braid just sorta transposed it into Trompe le Monde. |

i think most pixies songs shouldn't be interpreted too much, since i think the nonsensical lyrics contribute a lot to their music, and really black francis probably didn't mean to convey a lot of deep meaningful stuff with most of his songs. having said that, i'm pretty sure this song is just about him talking about his ideal girl (a latino girl, i think). |

yeah, weezer also completely ripped off "I Bleed" with "Undone (The Sweater Song)". It's so obvious I can't believe it. weezer's a great band, though, although they still don't even come close to the pixies. |
